The Global Summit resulted US$ 9 billion for children immunisation in poor countries

The Global Summit: Health & Prosperity through Immunisation in Brussels on 25 June 2025 collected a commitment more than US$ 9 billion toward a target budget of US$ 11.9 billion for immunisation program for millions children in lower-income countries in the period 2026-2030. The representatives of 55 donor and implementing countries attended the meeting co-hosted by the European Union, Gates Foundation, and Gavi, in partnership with Global Citizen. The summit also resulted in US$ 4.5 billion as additional financing from development finance institutions to support country systems and accelerate access to vaccines.

The budget will be allocated to protect around 500 million children from preventable disease, preventing around 8-9 million future death and protecting the global population from deadly outbreak such as cholera, mpox and Ebola through its vaccination stockpiles.
