
Applications currently open for two postdoctoral researchers to join the team at the Faculty of Health Sciences – Health Research and Innovation Science Center, University of Klaipėda (2024–2026). The position focuses on community-based interventions (lifestyle changes, movement behaviors, physical activity, etc.) and surveillance for promoting health and preventing noncommunicable diseases, aligned with our strategic direction “Towards sustainable health and well-being.”
The funding of €350,000 is already secured at our university — we now only need to select the suitable candidate. The selected researcher will lead this project and will be expected to propose and develop their own research idea within the field. The initial monthly salary will be approximately €2,000 gross (with the possibility of growth), and the university can provide dormitory accommodation if needed.
For the second position, there are two possible paths for involvement: the candidate
may either join our current ongoing projects or propose an independent research project to be developed here within the same thematic area.
Ideal profile:
- PhD in Health Sciences (Public Health, Biomedicine, Nursing, Kinesiology, Psychology, or related areas).
- Experience with public health, RCT, epidemiological methods, meta-analysis, and systematic reviews.
- Proficiency in R, STATA or SPSS.
- Previous experience in community-based health projects.
- Fluency in English.
- The expected outcomes include management of research, publishing Q1–Q2
papers in international journals over the three-year period, write project proposals.
