On May 29, 2026, we hosted our 2nd Alumni Online Sharing Session, bringing together current students and alumni for an inspiring morning of career reflection, professional development, and community engagement.
The session featured distinguished alumni from both the Master's and PhD programs, who generously shared their academic journeys, career experiences, and valuable lessons learned along the way. Participants had the opportunity to hear from Hexin Latumer Katengza (Master's Program), Kamaluddin Latief (PhD Program), and Thu Win Kyaw (PhD Program), each offering unique perspectives on navigating careers in global health and related fields.
Through their stories, alumni highlighted the diverse opportunities available to graduates, the challenges they encountered, and the skills that have helped them succeed professionally. The interactive Q&A session further allowed students to seek advice, gain practical insights, and engage directly with alumni who once walked the same academic path.
Beyond career guidance, the event served as a reminder of the strength of our growing alumni network and the importance of fostering connections across generations of students and professionals.
Following the online sharing session, students, faculty, and staff came together for a Semester-End Gathering to celebrate the completion of another successful academic term. The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on achievements, strengthen friendships, and enjoy time together before the semester break.
As our community continues to grow, events like these reinforce the collaborative spirit that defines the Global Health and Health Security Program. We extend our sincere appreciation to our alumni speakers for sharing their time and experiences, and to everyone who participated in making the event a memorable and meaningful occasion.
We look forward to welcoming more opportunities for learning, networking, and celebration in the semesters ahead.
